This site is aimed at being a one stop shop for mums who find themselves planning for a wedding - getting ready to dress as the elegant mother of the bride, or groom. 

About Us

This site is run and written for by Jen Carter,  a mother of three grown up children. 

In the summer of 2008 my son, Martin, was married to Sofia and I enjoyed the wonderful experience of being the mother of the groom - a real privilege!  I'm also loving being a mum-in-law to my lovely daughter-in-law, affectionately known as "Fi".

So, I was inspired to create a website based on my own experience, to help other moms prepare for their son or daughters big day.  It was a lot of fun, but I felt that it could have been easier if I'd know what to expect and had something to help me plan for my son's big day.

I'm now looking forward to one day being mother of the bride at my daughters wedding!

This website was first created in January 2009 , but is being continually updated. 

I hope it will be a useful resources to moms planning their daughter or sons wedding, and have spent some time finding some great resources which I've included in the Wedding Directory.
